I've been a chef in the industry for over 20 years now. Like many chefs, I started a kitchen porter at the tender age of sixteen. Coming from a home where cooking fresh dishes every day was common it was not long until I started helping on the different sections in the small Italian restaurant where I worked. Keen to progress, I moved on from pot washing and began to gain experience in the larder, pizzas and pastry sections.
Over the years my career has progressed, working in various kitchens and eventually heading up the North West region Crown Plaza & Holiday Inn Hotels. Four years ago I joined the team at the fabulous Fox and Hounds.
Working with Althams Butchers is great. You can rely on them for great overall service, consistent product quality and availability, along with a friendly office team and a sales rep who is willing to go the extra mile for us. I also love her cheeky sense of humour!!
